What is a child's challenging… | Alannah & Madeline Foundation Skip to main content

Join this free one-hour online workshop to build an understanding of how children use behaviour to communicate their needs. Often challenging behaviour may appear to be just that, but beneath the surface, it could indicate that child is experiencing trauma.

Created especially for Early Childhood Educators, this workshop will cover:

  • A definition and explanation of trauma
  • Information on how children use behaviour to communicate their needs
  • The importance of relationships with safe adults in helping children to heal
  • The impact that working with vulnerable children has on educators.

Experienced staff from the Alannah & Madeline Foundation’s Trauma Consultancy Service will help you to grow your understanding of these key areas and provide information about how Early Childhood Educators can develop their skills to support the children they work with, as well as themselves, to thrive.
